Punjab Government’s Housing and Urban Development Minister. Hardeep Singh Mundian held a meeting with all the officers/employees of GLADA during his first visit to the local GLADA office. GLADA officers/employees including Chief Administrator, GLADA Harpreet Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Administrator GLADA Aman Gupta, PSS, Vineet Kumar PCS, Milkh Adhikari, GLADA were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, Cabinet Minister Mundiya reviewed various works of GLADA and directed that the officers/employees of GLADA should perform their duties with hard work, honesty and true devotion. He directed the field staff of GLADA to immediately stop any illegal construction and illegal colonies being built within the limits of GLADA in Ludhiana and take appropriate legal action against the illegal builders.
He also said that colonizers should be encouraged to take licenses so that government revenue can increase and people can move from illegal/unauthorized colonies to authorized colonies. Apart from this, the Engineering Branch was directed to continuously maintain the parks at the sites established by GLADA so that people can take maximum benefit of these parks. Cabinet Minister Mundiya also directed to develop the vacant sites of GLADA so that government revenue can be increased by auctioning them.
