Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jitendra Jorwal has given strict instructions regarding Halwara International Airport. He said that all pending civil works at Halwara International Airport should be completed within the next 10 days.  

The deputy commissioner stressed on expediting the pending works during a meeting with officials of the Indian Air Force, Public Works Department (PWD), Public Health, Airports Authority of India (AAI), NHAI and drainage. 

The DC noted that several works have already been completed including construction of internal roads, public health services, campus lighting, terminal building, sub-station, sewage treatment plant (STP), gardening, toilet blocks and parking. He appealed to the heads of departments to complete the remaining works at the earliest. He also announced that officials of the concerned departments will inspect all the works on site next week.
