Three thieves stole golak and fake items from Mata Naina Devi temple in Ludhiana. As soon as the theft was discovered, the temple management committee immediately informed Shimlapuri police station. The police will register a case against the accused and take appropriate legal action against them.

Dr. Avinash Sanwal, resident of Mohalla New Shimlapuri Street No. 1, told in a written complaint to the police that he has been the chairman of Shri Naina Devi Mandir Dharamshala, Shimlapuri for the last 3 years. The priest of this temple is Surendra Prasad Raturi, who takes care of the temple. He told that Luv Kumar, a relative of the priest of this temple, had closed the gate of the temple and went to sleep on October 28. On October 29, at around 4:30 in the morning, Luv Kumar called and said that the lock of the gate of the temple is broken.

After that he called the temple’s president Shanti Saroop and other members and saw that the golaks had been stolen from inside the temple. When they checked the CCTV cameras, they saw that between 12:30 and 1:00 at night, 3 people broke the gate of the temple and entered inside and stole the golaks along with the donations given by the people (about 45 to 50 thousand). They immediately informed the police, then police officers of Shimlapuri police station reached the spot, who conducted a preliminary investigation and started further action.

The investigating officer in the case is ASI Hemant Kumar. The police has informed that cameras have been installed at many places in the area. With their help, the accused will be arrested soon.
