The incident took place around 9:00 pm, creating chaos in the area and panic among the people. According to eyewitnesses, gas smoke was suddenly seen rising from the pipeline, immediately followed by an explosion. It is a matter of relief that there was no loss of life or property in this incident.
After the blast, the locals immediately informed the fire brigade and security agencies. The gas supply was immediately cut off and the leak was controlled, due to which the situation was soon brought under control. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the rising smoke, thus averting a major accident.
