The Indian Women’s League is back for a second season in its current home and away format, with the campaign starting on January 10, 2025.

This season, the IWL will be expanded to an eight-team league, with last season’s IWL 2 champions Sribhumi FC (West Bengal), and runners-up NITA Football Academy (Odisha) joining as new entrants.

The league kicks off with a double header on January 10, as defending champions Odisha FC take on East Bengal FC at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar at 3 pm IST, followed by Gokulam Kerala FC and Sribhumi FC at the Payanad Stadium. 4 PM IST in Manjari.

The teams will compete for the coveted title in a packed season that will see them travel to major cities including Kolkata, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Chennai and Bhubaneswar during the three months of action.

Earlier, the season was supposed to start in October, 2024, which was spread over six months before being postponed to January next year.
