A big revelation has been made in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. This revelation strengthens the murder charges against Lawrence Bishnoi. Police have said that the three shooters suspected of killing the NCP leader had talked to the jailed gangster’s Canada-based cousin Anmol Bishnoi through an instant messaging app before the murder. It is suspected that Anmol had sent them pictures of Siddiqui and his son MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui through the app.
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has found evidence of some such conversations. Police sources say that the messages and photos were not deleted after the conversation. Let us tell you that two suspected killers Gurmel Singh and Dharmaraj Kashyap are in custody. The third Shivkumar Gautam, who is believed to be the main shooter, is currently absconding. Seven others have also been arrested.
Earlier, Shubham Lonkar, a suspected henchman of Lawrence Bishnoi, had claimed responsibility for the murder in a social media post. The post was later deleted. An official said, “We have identified two layers of this case. The shooter and the weapon supplier have been identified. We are getting closer to the third layer, which may include the conspirators and those who issued the contract for the murder.” Mumbai Police says they have also received photographs of the suspected killers practicing firing on September 13. Significantly, veteran politician Baba Siddiqui (66), who joined the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party, was shot dead by three people in Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar area on October 12. The firing took place outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui. The police have so far arrested 10 people in connection with the shootout, including two alleged shooters Gurmel Singh and Dharmaraj Kashyap, residents of Haryana.
