15 october 2024 : Actor Siddharth recently made headlines for his marriage to Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari, along with the announcement of his upcoming film, tentatively titled Siddharth 40. Directed by 34-year-old Sri Ganesh, known for films like 8 Thottakkal (2017) and Kuruthi Attam (2022), this emotional drama features a cast that includes Chaithra Achar, Meetha Raghunath, Sarath Kumar, and Devyani, and is produced by Shanthi Talkies.
In an exciting development, it has been revealed that Amrit Ramnath, son of the esteemed Carnatic musician Bombay Jayashri, will make his Tamil music director debut with Siddharth 40. At just 25 years old, Amrit previously made his music directing debut in Malayalam with Vineeth Sreenivasan’s film Varshangalukku Sesham. Although the film received mixed reviews, it featured popular tracks like “Nyabhagam” and “Njaanaalunna.” Known for blending modern sounds with traditional Carnatic music, Amrit is expected to bring melodious numbers and diverse genres to this emotional drama, leveraging his training as a Carnatic musician.
Director Sri Ganesh has expressed his admiration for Malayalam cinema, noting that his film 8 Thottakkal was remade in Malayalam by Priyadarshan as Corona Papers in 2023. He shared his thoughts on social media, praising the dedication and supportive nature of the Malayalam film industry, which has inspired him greatly.
Meanwhile, Siddharth’s latest film, Indian 2, fell short of audience expectations, and all eyes are now on the anticipated Indian 3. Rumors suggest that Indian 3 may be released directly on OTT, but there has been no official confirmation yet.
