11 october 2024 : Sixty-seven candidates, whose nominations for the positions of sarpanch and panch were rejected, filed individual complaints at the SSP office today. The aspirants, accompanied by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) leader Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, called for action against the Deputy Commissioner of Muktsar, the Gidderbaha SDM, and various returning officers (ROs) and assistant returning officers (AROs). Warring demanded that cases be filed against these officials for allegedly rejecting nominations of Congress-affiliated candidates.
