October 1, 2024: Former champions Indian Railways RSPB clinched the 95th All India MCC-Murugappa Gold Cup Hockey Tournament by defeating Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) 5-3. RSPB made a strong start, with Gursahibjeet Singh scoring a goal from a penalty corner in the seventh minute. Simranjot Singh doubled the lead just two minutes later. Yuvraj Walmiki scored in the 18th and 58th minutes, while Mukul Sharma added the fifth goal in the 35th minute. For IOC, Talwinder Singh scored in the 23rd minute, followed by Gurjinder Singh in the 29th minute. Rajbir Singh scored another goal for IOC in the 58th minute.
