30 september 2024 : Dushara Vijayan’s Experience with Dhanush and RajinikanthActor Dushara Vijayan recently had the opportunity to work with both Dhanush and Rajinikanth. In an interview with Galatta, she shared her experience, particularly recounting Dhanush’s reaction when she informed him about filming scenes with Rajinikanth.
Dushara explained that she was shooting for Dhanush’s 50th film, Raayan, and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan simultaneously. When Dhanush asked her if she had worked with Rajinikanth, she confirmed, leading him to express his jealousy. Pinkvilla translated her words, saying, “I shot for Vettaiyan and Raayan simultaneously. I am very grateful I got to act with Dhanush sir because he’s my favorite hero. He asked me if I had shot scenes with Superstar Rajinikanth. We all know he’s a huge fan of Thalaivar. I said yes, and Dhanush sir said, ‘I am feeling jealous for the first time because of you.’”
Dhanush was previously married to Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwarya, in 2004 after dating for six months. They parted ways in 2022 after 18 years of marriage and filed for mutual consent divorce in 2024. The couple has two sons, Yatra and Linga. Notably, Dhanush has yet to share the screen with Rajinikanth.
Upcoming Projects
Dushara is set to appear in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan, which will hit theaters on October 10. The film also features Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rana Daggubati, alongside Rajinikanth and Dushara. This project marks the first on-screen collaboration between Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan in over 30 years since Hum.
In addition to Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth is working on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, featuring Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Upendra, which is scheduled for release next year.
Following Raayan, Dhanush is directing a new film titled Idli Kadai, which will also star him. He is also working on another project called Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam and will soon appear in Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera, alongside Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna.
