25 september 2024 : On Wednesday, the Punjab government issued orders for the transfer of 49 IAS and PCS officers. Among them, the Deputy Commissioner of Tarn Taran, Sandeep Kumar, was transferred. He has been replaced by Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, a 2015 batch IAS officer, as the new Deputy Commissioner. Aulakh had only recently taken charge as the Commissioner of the Amritsar Municipal Corporation two days ago.
