24 september 2024 : Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt, who co-starred in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, share a close personal bond beyond their work. In a recent conversation with Jr NTR and filmmaker Karan Johar, Alia revealed that the first time she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor discussed baby names was at Jr NTR’s home in Hyderabad.

Alia recalled how their friendship deepened when Jr NTR warmly invited them for dinner after a Brahmastra event. She was pregnant at the time, and during that evening, Ranbir casually mentioned potential names for their baby. Jr NTR added, “I started praying that it would be Raha,” referring to the name they chose for their daughter.
Both Alia and Jr NTR spoke about how becoming parents has impacted them professionally. Jr NTR shared that the birth of his son Abhay led him to seek creative fulfillment in his career, while Alia explained that having Raha changed her perspective, as she’s now more invested in another human being. Alia added that her upcoming film Jigra, about a sister protecting her brother, came at a time when she felt particularly protective of her newborn daughter.

Alia’s film Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, is set for release on October 11. The movie stars Alia alongside Vedang Raina, with Manoj Pahwa also in the cast. It’s co-produced by Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions, along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Alia will also be seen in Alpha, Love & War, and Jee Le Zaraa.
