23 september 2024 : Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, speaking at a roundtable conference with PM Narendra Modi in New York, emphasized that “this is India’s moment” and urged businesses to capitalize on the opportunity. He expressed Nvidia’s eagerness to collaborate with India on Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlighting the country’s wealth of talent in computer science.
Huang described PM Modi as “an incredible student” who is eager to learn about technology and AI, aiming to unlock opportunities for India. He noted, “Every time I meet him, he seeks to understand the potential impact of AI on Indian society and industry.”
He also commended India’s thriving startup ecosystem, which is the third-largest in the world, noting that many new startups are rooted in AI. Huang stressed the importance of AI infrastructure to support this new generation of companies and highlighted the numerous partnerships Nvidia has established throughout India.
