23 september 2024 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh remarked on Monday about the noticeable silence from both the RSS and the BJP following his party leader Arvind Kejriwal’s five questions directed at Mohan Bhagwat. He likened the situation to the famous dialogue by AK Hangal, asking, “Ye itna sannata kyon hai bhai?” (Why is there such silence?).
Singh emphasized that the public wants to hear the answers to Kejriwal’s questions and claimed that the BJP and RSS’s silence indicates that they recognize the truth in those questions.
He pointed out that the RSS, which presents itself as patriotic and nationalist, was asked questions pertaining to principles, values, and truth. Singh noted that Kejriwal has resigned as chief minister twice for the sake of principles.
“While many people won’t give up a peon job, Kejriwal stepped down after just 49 days as chief minister because it was a matter of principles. He even resigned after coming out of jail for the sake of integrity,” Singh stated.
He also took a jab at Narendra Modi, suggesting that Modi is reluctant to resign from the prime ministerial position even at the age of 75.
Kejriwal, during his first ‘Janata Ki Adalat’ public meeting after resigning as chief minister, questioned the RSS about its agreement with the BJP’s tactics of “using central agencies to destabilize parties and topple opposition governments.”
At Jantar Mantar, Kejriwal posed five questions to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, asking whether it is correct for Modi to dismantle parties and bring down governments through coercion with the ED and CBI, and whether Bhagwat agrees with Modi’s inclusion of leaders he once labeled corrupt into his party.
