The second and final Test will be played in Kanpur starting September 27. Ashwin’s crucial contribution in India’s win included taking six wickets after conceding 88 runs, supported by Ravindra Jadeja, who took three wickets for 58 runs. With this performance, Ashwin matched the legendary Australian bowler Shane Warne’s record of 37 instances of taking five wickets in an innings, surpassing New Zealand great Richard Hadlee’s record of 36. This marks the fourth time Ashwin has taken five wickets in an innings while also scoring a century.
