16 september 2024 : On Sunday, India initiated Operation Sadbhav to deliver emergency supplies to Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar, which have been severely affected by Typhoon Yagi. The typhoon, which has already claimed over 200 lives, triggered severe flooding in these countries after making landfall over a week ago.
Initially, Typhoon Yagi hit the Philippines, resulting in the deaths of more than a dozen people. It then moved westward, impacting southern China before reaching Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos.
