September 10, 2024 : After receiving their visas from the Indian High Commission, Pakistan’s 12-member team departed for Chennai today to participate in the South Asian Athletic Federation Junior Championship. An official confirmed that the athletes and officials left for Chennai on Saturday after obtaining their visas. Following this, the organizers of the competition, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), announced that the Pakistani team has reached the Wagah border. The AFI shared a photo of the team on X, stating, “The Pakistani junior athletics team and officials have arrived at the Wagah border in Amritsar today.” The championship will be held in Chennai from September 11 to 13.
