Recently, Honey Singh talked about his superhit songs and criticized some of them as “useless.” Here’s why Honey Singh made these comments about his own tracks.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Honey Singh was asked about his song “Blue Hai Paani Paani.” He said, “I created the song with music and recording in just two hours. It is the most foolish song I’ve written in my career. Is this even a song? Today it’s ‘Blue Hai Paani Paani’ and ‘Sunny Sunny’ too. What nonsense is this? Honestly, look at all the songs, are any of them good? The song is brown, makes sense, and is written okay. ‘Blue Eyes’ is being praised. Long dance, party all night—what kind of songs are these?”
“Today I Laugh at My Own Songs”
Honey Singh further stated, “I didn’t know what I was doing and people were putting me on a pedestal. When I perform, I laugh at myself that people are still crazy. They are still dancing. I still earn from these songs because they are still popular. The voice was good, but the lyrics were not. Quirky, but some nonsensical stuff to listen to.”
Honey Singh’s Comeback
It’s worth noting that Honey Singh had been away from the industry for several years due to health issues. He made a comeback in 2023 with the song “Klasster.” Additionally, he recently launched his album “Glory,” which has been well-received. A documentary on Honey Singh is also set to release soon on OTT platform Netflix.
