September 2, 2024: India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Indonesian partner Aldila Sutjiadi made a remarkable comeback after losing the first set to secure a place in the mixed doubles quarterfinals at the US Open tennis tournament. The eighth-seeded pair defeated Australia’s John Peers and Czech Republic’s Katarina Siniakova with scores of 0-6, 7-6 (5), 10-7 in a match that lasted one hour and 13 minutes. Bopanna and Sutjiadi will next face the fourth-seeded pair of Matthew Ebden and Barbora Krejcikova. Bopanna and Ebden have already reached the third round in the men’s doubles event.
