20 august 2024 : Sobhita Dhulipala maintained a relaxed and informal demeanor as she made her first official public appearance following her engagement to Naga Chaitanya. The actress attended the premiere of Angry Young Men, a documentary that explores the legacy of the legendary writing duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar.
For this occasion, Sobhita chose an all-denim jumpsuit featuring a collar and button-down details. The bell-bottom flare at the hem was complemented by a denim belt that accentuated her silhouette. She completed her ensemble with strappy white heels, small silver hoop earrings, and a wristwatch. Her permed hair added a final touch that truly embodied a retro aesthetic. Notably, her engagement ring was prominently displayed, accompanied by her radiant smile.

Prior to the official announcement of their engagement, Sobhita and Chay had not publicly addressed their relationship, despite ongoing speculation. On August 8, Naga Chaitanya, the veteran actor and father of Chay, shared moments from the couple’s private engagement ceremony on social media, welcoming Sobhita into the family and extending best wishes for their future together.
The couple first ignited dating rumors in the summer of 2022, which were followed by several public sightings. However, they consistently avoided questions regarding their romantic involvement. The first acknowledgment of their relationship came on August 9, when they posted a series of photos from their engagement celebration.
Returning to the premiere that Sobhita attended, Angry Young Men chronicles the significant contributions of screenwriters Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar to Bollywood, particularly the iconic persona of the “angry young man,” most famously portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan.
The documentary is set to be available for streaming on OTT platforms starting today, August 20.
