20 august 2024 : Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are presently in London with their children, Vamika and Akaay. On Monday evening, Anushka utilized her Instagram Stories to showcase her celebration of Raksha Bandhan with her children, sharing a photograph of the rakhis. This year is particularly special as it marks the first Raksha Bandhan for both Vamika and her younger brother, Akaay.
The image featured two rakhis crafted to resemble cars, made from yarn and adorned with black buttons to mimic the wheels. Anushka accompanied the picture with the caption: “Happy Raksha Bandhan” followed by a red heart emoticon.
In June, Anushka had previously shared a touching moment of Virat Kohli celebrating his inaugural Father’s Day after the birth of their second child. She posted a lovely card, seemingly created by Vamika, which depicted a child’s feet painted in yellow. The card bore the message ‘Happy Father’s Day’ in red and green. In her caption, she expressed, “How can one person be so good at so many things! Baffling….. we LOVE YOU @virat.kohli” along with heart and kiss emojis.
Anushka and Virat were married in 2017 in a private ceremony in Italy after several years of dating. They welcomed their daughter Vamika on January 11, 2021, and their son Akaay on February 15, 2024. The couple has successfully kept their children away from the public eye.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Anushka’s return to the screen following her role in Zero (2018), which also featured Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She is set to appear next in the biopic Chakda Xpress, where she will portray the life of the esteemed cricketer Jhulan Goswami. This film will mark her return to cinema after a break of over five years.
