16 july 2024 Punjab Khabarnama : The Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani’s father has been killed in Bihar’s Darbhanga. The former state minister’s father, Jitan Sahani, was allegedly murdered using a sharp weapon at his house.
According to sources, Jitan Sahani’s mutilated body was found inside his house.
Local police officials said a detailed investigation was underway and the incident had created panic in the Supaul Bazar area.
The incident was confirmed by Darbhanga Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jagunath Reddy.
Expressing grief and seeking justice, Janata Dal (United) leader Neeraj Kumar said, “The murder of Mukesh Sahani’s father is tragic. Senior officials have arrived at the scene, and an investigation is underway. The culprit will not be spared; efforts are underway to locate them and bring them to justice.”
Independent MP from Purnea, Pappu Yadav said, “A series of murders have happened in Bihar in the last few days… The state government has got nothing to do with law and order in the state. Bihar is in the grips of criminals… Is this Nitish Kumar’s good governance?”
Rashtriya Janata Dal Spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav said, “What is going on in Bihar? No day goes by without a murder… The Chief Minister is in an unconscious state of mind. He might not even know by now that something has happened in the state. No political leader is safe in Bihar… The system has collapsed. Bihar is at the mercy of gods.”
