5 July 2024 Punjab Khabarnama : During the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this year, Hardik Pandya, the vice-captain of Team India, had a mentally exhausting time. After taking over as captain of the Mumbai Indians, replacing Rohit Sharma, the star all-rounder was subjected to trolling and booing by fans. The fans were unhappy with MI’s decision to remove Rohit as captain, and as a result, Hardik became the target of fans in stadiums. However, Hardik was able to regain the respect of the fans by playing a crucial role in India’s success in the T20 World Cup.
During a live interaction on India Today, a female fan apologized to Hardik Pandya for trolling him during the IPL. She expressed her regret and said she didn’t know why she trolled him in the first place. She also praised his performance in the final over and apologized for saying anything wrong about him.
During the victory celebrations at the Wankhede Stadium, Rohit, the captain of Team India, commended Hardik for his exceptional performance in the last over. He acknowledged the pressure of bowling the final over and praised Hardik for his ability to handle it. The 37-year-old concluded by expressing his admiration for Hardik’s efforts.
Hardik Pandya played crucial roles as a lower-order batsman and a wicket-taker for the team. He scored 144 runs at a strike rate of over 150 and also took 11 wickets. Based on Rohit’s comments, it appears that he and Hardik have resolved their previous conflicts, which ultimately contributed to India winning an ICC title after 11 years.
