Chandigarh, July 3 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh today presented 13 development projects worth more than Rs 78 crore to Sirsa district. He inaugurated 5 projects worth Rs 10 crore 35 lakh 65 thousand and laid the foundation stone of 8 different projects worth Rs 67 crore 66 lakh 72 thousand in a program organized at the Multipurpose Hall of Chaudhary Devi Lal University.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that our government is constantly working for the welfare of the poor and the deprived. The schemes implemented in the direction of Antyodaya have brought about a change in their lives. The result of the decisions taken for system change is that today people are getting the benefits of schemes sitting at home without having to run around offices. The pension of the elderly is being made automatically, the government has taken several steps for the education of poor children, arrangements for the treatment of the needy and to increase the income of the poor. Under the Chief Minister’s Urban and Rural Housing Scheme, houses are being given to poor people.
These 5 projects costing more than 10 crores were inaugurated
Mr Naib Singh inaugurated 5 projects of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board worth Rs 10 crore 35 lakh 65 thousand. These include purchase center in village Sherpur at a cost of Rs 2 crore 24 lakh, Panna Khokhar road from village Panniwala Raldu at a cost of Rs 2 crore 61 lakh, Sukhera Kheda to Asha Kheda road from village Sukhera Kheda at a cost of Rs 1 crore 87 lakh, Norang to Asir from village Malikpura at a cost of Rs 1 crore 68 lakh and Rampura Bishnoiya road from village Malikpura to Jandwala Jatan constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 93 lakh.
The foundation stone was laid for these 8 projects costing more than Rs 67 crore
Similarly, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of 8 different projects costing Rs 67 crore 66 lakh 72 thousand. These include the Government College to be built in Lambi of Goriwala at a cost of Rs 24 crore, 26 sub health centers to be built in the district at a cost of Rs 14 crore 43 lakh, 4 Block Public Health Units of the Public Health Department to be built at a cost of Rs 2 crore, expansion of grain market, vegetable market and wood market to be built at a cost of Rs 14 crore 84 lakh, purchase center of village Dhotar to be built at a cost of more than Rs 2 crore 37 lakh, purchase center to be built in village Kamal at a cost of more than Rs 2 crore 19 lakh, link road to be built from village Giddar Kheda to Ganga to Godikan at a cost of more than Rs 3 crore 22 lakh and link project from Raipur via Dhukda to Baruwali II (Punjab Head) to be built at a cost of more than Rs 4 crore 60 lakh.
On this occasion, Energy Minister Mr. Ranjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner Mr. R.K. Singh, former Governor Mr. Ganeshi Lal, former MP Dr. Ashok Tanwar, former MP Mrs. Sunita Duggal and other dignitaries were present.
