28 June 2024 Punjab Khabarnama : Farida Jalal is one of the accomplished actresses in Bollywood and has contributed to the industry with several hit films including Mammo, Mehram, etc. The veteran actress recently dominated the headlines for her interview with India Today regarding Shah Rukh Khan. Farida Jalal had said that she was not in touch with King Khan because his number might have changed.
Now, in an interview with Zoom TV, the veteran actress clarified that her statement had been misinterpreted. While explaining her remark, the Mammo actress said, “I just said that the numbers that I have are perhaps the old ones. They must have changed them. That’s all I had said. It was an innocent question. What will I say?”
The veteran actress further said that she gets a little affected by people saying that I have said things like ‘Bahot farak aa gaya hai Shah Rukh Khan mein (Shah Rukh has changed a lot)’. According to Farida Jala, why would she say such a thing? She further said that he was a bit raw when he was younger but now he has become a seasoned actor. “He is, in fact, the best we have”, the veteran actress concluded her interview with this remark.

Farida Jalal’s upcoming projects
The 75-year actress will next act in the film Welcome To The Jungle directed by Ahmed Khan. This film is currently in production and is expected to hit the big screens on December 20, 2024. Starring Disha Patani, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and others, this will be the third instalment in the Welcome franchise. Farhad Samji is associated with the project’s writer. Unlike the previous two instalments, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, are not in Welcome’s third instalment. Both Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are quite famous for their roles as Majnu and Uday Bhai in the Welcome franchise.
