Chandigarh, June 27 – In a significant development, the protest for the construction of a road to Talwandi Rana village of Hisar district has come to an end. Civil Aviation Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta visited the protest site on Wednesday and announced that the state government has agreed to the villagers’ demand for the road. This decision was welcomed by the protest committee, which subsequently called off the protest.

During his conversation with the villagers, the Cabinet Minister stated that the state government has decided to construct the road alongside the boundary wall of Maharaja Agrasen Airport to Talwandi Rana village to ensure no inconvenience to the people. The file for the land transfer, where this road is being constructed, has been sent to the Chandigarh headquarters today. He mentioned that most of the road construction work has been completed, and the remaining work will also be completed soon. He added that a bus service will start from Thursday itself for the convenience of the people.

Due to the construction of Maharaja Agrasen Airport, the distance from Hisar to Talwandi Rana village had increased, leading the villagers to demand a direct road to the village.
