26 June 2024 Punjab Khabarnama : This lemon plant is being given by Agriculture Center Goda on behalf of Jivada Hasa Project. From this type of tree, the farmer will get 2.5 to 3 quintals of fruit at a time.Dulal Modi, Lively Hood Coordinator of Jivada Hasa Project, told Local 18 that thousands of saplings have been given to hundreds of farmers across the district to cultivate lemons.
Farmers do not get immediate benefits after planting this plant. This plant takes at least 3 years to develop. After this, this type of lemon tree continues to bear fruit for 12 months throughout its life.
From this type of tree, the farmer will get 2.5 to 3 quintals of fruit at a time. This plant is planted from April to June.
