June 13 (Punjab Khabarnama) : District Magistrate Rajesh Dhiman, exercising the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Criminal Act 1973, has issued orders for various restrictions keeping in mind the safety of the people in the district.
Giving information regarding this, District Magistrate Rajesh Dhiman said that restrictions have been imposed on running hookah bars in the district, burning crop residues at places where arms are stored by the army. Along with this, it has been made mandatory for the owners of marriage palaces, hotels, restaurants, cinema halls to obtain a no objection certificate, landlords to inform the nearest police stations about the tenants, and inform the nearest police stations about migrant labourers, so that any untoward incident can be prevented.
The District Magistrate informed that there is a ban on plying of boats by private individuals from 7 pm to 7 am, using firecrackers, drums or any other noise producing equipment from 10 pm to 6 am, carrying weapons in marriages and other functions, putting up obscene and vulgar posters on government and non-government buildings and illegal occupation of land along roads and link roads. He informed that all these restrictions have been imposed keeping in view the safety of people and if any person violates these, then action will be taken against him as per law.
