June 13 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The Municipal Corporation has taken action to seal the illegally constructed building in the residential area of Model Town. This campaign has started after the revelation of Punjab Kesari, in which the Municipal Corporation had passed the maps for construction of commercial buildings in Model Town before the government issued a notification to declare the road.
Apart from this, the issue of illegal construction of buildings in the residential area of Model Town is being raised continuously by Punjab Kesari. In view of which, under the order issued by the Commissioner, the three-storey building built on the road from Baba Deep Singh Gurudwara Sahib to Bijli Ghar has been sealed by the team of Zone D. As before, it has been decided to chargesheet Inspector Kirandeep Singh for giving wrong report to the top officials regarding the illegal construction of labor quarters in Punjab Mata Nagar.
At the same time, a report has been sent by the ATP to the Commissioner for taking action against Zone D Inspector Kirandeep Singh regarding the buildings being constructed in the residential area of Model Town, because in most areas of Model Town neither the map can be passed for constructing a commercial building nor is there a provision for regularizing it by paying the fee, despite which Inspector Kirandeep Singh has not fulfilled the responsibility of stopping or demolishing these buildings.
