June 12 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A 26-year-old youth of Bolina Doaba, a village under the district rural police station Patara, died after being hit by his own tractor in the fields. The deceased has been identified as Romandeep Singh Deyol. The former sarpanch of village Bolina Doaba, Gurdeep Singh Phaguda, said that the father of the deceased youth, Dalveer Singh, had died in a road accident 8 years ago. His younger brother Tarandeep Singh Deyol and grandparents live in Canada.
Deceased Romandeep was a farmer and lived in the village with his mother Parminder Kaur. When Roman did not reach home till late night on Monday, his mother Parminder Kaur informed her friend Paramveer on the phone, after which Paramveer went to the fields and saw that Roman was lying dead under the tires of his own tractor. About which he informed the family members.
According to the information, the deceased was working alone in Roman fields at night, due to which it is not known how he came under his own tractor. The news of Roman’s death caused a wave of mourning in the entire village. His mother, Parminder Kaur, also cried and cried. Roman’s grandfather, who came from Canada some time ago, could not see his dead son.
The SHO of Patara police station in connection with this accident. Baljit Singh Hundal said that no one has given any information about this to the police. Former sarpanch Gurdeep Singh Bolina said that Roman’s brother Tarandeep Singh and uncle have been informed about his death. Roman’s last rites will be performed only after his arrival from Canada.
