June 11 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday warned investors that a deep fake video shows its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashishkumar Chauhan giving investment advice. The exchange said in a statement that it has come to know about some investment and advice audio and video clips, in which Chauhan’s face / voice and the NSE logo have been used.
NSE said that this video has been created using technology in a fake way. It seems that such videos have been created using sophisticated techniques to imitate Chauhan’s voice and facial expressions. NSE has appealed to investors not to trust such audio and video and not to invest on the basis of such fake videos.
It is worth noting that NSE employees are not authorized to recommend any stock. The exchange is trying to remove these objectionable videos from the social media platform wherever possible.
