June 11 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The havoc of heat continues in Punjab. The weather had improved a bit due to the rain a few days ago, but after this the heat has again taken full force. The terrible heat is now becoming fatal in Punjab. Now the news of the death of 2 more people due to heat has been received in Bathinda district. According to the information, due to the terrible heat, the condition of a helpless person deteriorated in the veranda in front of the Municipal Corporation.
On receiving the information, Sahara Life Saving Brigade workers Rajinder Kumar and Sandeep Gill reached the spot and took the person to the hospital, where he died. The cause of death is being told to be heat. The deceased could not be identified, but action is being taken by the police station Kotwali.
Similarly, another helpless person admitted to the hospital in critical condition at the bus stand also died due to heat. At present, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the next 5 days. This week the temperature is expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius.
