June 10 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Today, the body of a person was found floating in the water in the Satluj river under the jurisdiction of Ladowal police station. Police station in-charge Veerinder Singh Benipal, who reached the spot, said that the police was informed by diver Rinku Mehra posted at the Satluj river that the body of a person was floating in the Satluj river. After this, the police immediately reached the spot and the body was taken out with the help of a team of divers.
The police station in-charge said that the age of the deceased seems to be around 50 years. At present, the police have taken the body of the deceased into custody and started investigating the case. The investigating officer said that the deceased has not been identified. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital for 72 hours. Further action will be taken after the post-mortem report of the deceased comes.
