June 10 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The Commissionerate Police has arrested two associates of Pakistan-based notorious terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda last day, in which Satbir Singh, who smuggled weapons from Pakistan across the border, was arrested. A 30 bore pistol and 13 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Karandeep Singh, who used to extort money from liquor traders in the state at the behest of Rinda, has also been arrested.
Both the accused were running a network in Punjab at the behest of terrorist Rinda. This was revealed by Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. Initial investigation has revealed that Satbir Singh has smuggled 4 pistols from across the border in the last 10 days. Recently, he also kidnapped a youth from Amritsar rural, while on the other hand, it has been revealed that Karandeep Singh used to extort money from liquor traders in the state and on Rinda’s behest, he used to set the liquor shop on fire and also used to fire bullets if money was not paid. Police has taken both of them on police remand for investigation and is interrogating them thoroughly.
