June 5 (Punjab Khabarnama) : After achieving a big victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Charanjit Singh Channi is bowing down at various religious places. Charanjit Singh Channi has registered a historic victory by a huge margin by securing 3,90,053 votes from Jalandhar seat. After the election results, Charanjit Channi bowed down at Dera Sachkhand Ballan and thanked and received blessings from the Dera chief. Apart from this, Charanjit Singh Channi along with his family bowed down at Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha Model Town. After this, he also went to Satguru Ravidas Dham Boota Mandi and bowed down.
It is worth noting that Congress candidate and former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Channi won the Jalandhar Lok Sabha elections by securing a historic lead of 1,75,993 votes and once again hoisted the flag in the Congress stronghold Jalandhar. In this election, Charanjit Singh Channi got a total of 3,90,053 votes, while his nearest rival BJP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku secured 2,14,060 votes and came second. Punjab’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu had to settle for third place by securing 2,08,889 votes, although Shiromani Akali Dal Badal candidate Mahinder Singh K.P. and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Balwinder Kumar lost their deposits. Channi’s big win has proved that the voters of the district have completely rejected the turncoats. Channi has reached the Lok Sabha as an MP for the first time by winning the election.
