In the election count, Congress candidate Amar Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib has got 35476 votes in the ballot paper and he is ahead of AAP candidate by 4863 votes. At the same time, AAP candidate Gurpreet Singh GP got 30613 votes, Akali Dal candidate Bikramjit Khalsa got 13370 votes, BJP candidate Geza Ram Valmiki got 9680 votes, RJ Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (A) got 3886 votes.
