June 3 (Punjab Khabarnama) : After Verka, today ‘Amul’ brand milk has also become expensive. In fact, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets dairy products under the ‘Amul’ brand, has increased the price of milk by about Rs 3 per liter across the country from Monday i.e. today (June 3).
According to the said orders, now the price of Amul Gold will increase from Rs 64 / liter to Rs 66 / liter. While the price of Amul Tea Special will increase from Rs 62 to Rs 64 per liter. According to information received from sources, GCMMF said in a statement issued late night that the increase of Rs 2 per liter will increase the maximum retail price by 3 to 4 percent, which is much less than the average food inflation. The price hike has been announced after the completion of the voting process of the Lok Sabha elections. GCMMF said that it has not increased the price of milk since February 2023.
