June 3 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A person has been cheated of Rs 2 lakh by two people on the pretext of a government job. The police of Goindwal Sahib police station has started further action after registering a case against both the accused. At present, the police is engaged in searching for both the absconding accused.
Jatinder Singh son of Karam Singh resident of Dulchipur recorded his statement to the police that he wanted to do a government job. Gurpreet Singh son of Amarjit Singh and Ranjit Singh son of Balkar Singh resident of Kang assured him of getting a government job. Both the accused demanded money for this work. He also spent a lot of money for the government job, later he came to know that Gurpreet Singh and Ranjit Singh had cheated him of Rs 2 lakh 10 thousand in the name of a government job.
