May 31 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The accused, in an attempt to go abroad, got lured by an agent and ruined his newly married couple and in order to fulfil his dream of earning dollars by sending his family abroad, stayed with his wife in a hotel in Noormahal and committed several big robbery incidents. In one month, he carried out robbery of 3 petrol pumps, one medical store and dozens of big robbery incidents by firing fake bullets from a toy pistol.
Inspector in-charge of Bilga police station Rajesh Thakur told that during interrogation till now, the robbers told that they had bought a toy pistol which looked exactly like the real one and some fake bullets which made a loud sound. Before committing the crime, they would fire fake bullets which would spread terror among the people.
ASI Ashwani Kumar along with police party arrested the accused of this gang namely Parminder Singh Pindu son of Harjaap Singh, Gur Mohit Singh Gopi son of Tarsem Singh, Amritpal son of Hoshiyaar Singh and arrested them with the stolen motorcycle, a toy pistol, 3 fake bullets, a car and sharp weapons.
Today DSP Phillaur Sarwanjit Singh said that the gang leader Parminder Singh, who was earlier a drug addict, returned from abroad a few days ago and became a robber and kept committing robbery incidents one after the other.
The family thought that the son and daughter-in-law were abroad, so they kept committing the crimes while staying in the hotel.
One and a half months ago, while going abroad with his wife, he got deceived by an agent and gave him 20 lakh rupees. The agent sent them to a small country where he came to know that he had been cheated and returned after a few days. He stayed in a hotel for a month by taking a room and told his family members that he had reached abroad. He formed his own gang by including 2 other boys with him. After committing dozens of robbery incidents in a month, the husband and wife were staying in the hotel.
