May 31 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The case of kidnapping and rape of Granthi Singh’s minor daughter in Uttar Pradesh has reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The case has been taken cognizance of by Giani Raghbir Singh. He has given a week’s ultimatum to the UP government in this case.
According to the information, Granthi Singh’s 13-year-old daughter has been kidnapped and raped in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh. The girl has identified the accused in front of the magistrate. The UP Sikh Sangat says that the government is helping the rich accused, so nothing is being done against them. Due to this, Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib has given a week’s ultimatum to the UP government to catch all the accused. He says that if the accused are not arrested by him, then the Sikh Sangat will have to take action at its own level.
Jathedar Raghbir Singh says that the UP government should not show any negligence in this matter. The entire Sikh community is with the victim and her family. The Jathedar questioned the UP government as to why appropriate action is not being taken in the case of rape of a girl. The UP government claims that whoever misbehaves with a girl at one chowk is shot dead at another chowk.
