May 30 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The body of Pankaj Daul, son of Balwinder Daul, a resident of Patti Sekhon, village Jamsher (Jalandhar Cantt) who was murdered in Dubai 23 days ago, is reaching India on 30 May. According to information received from the family, Pankaj Daul’s body is being brought by his younger brother Gurpreet Gopi Daul who lives in Dubai.
Pankaj’s sister Sukhmeet Kaur Shalu said that apart from her, her mother and all the family members were waiting for Pankaj Daul’s body for a long time and today her brother Gopi Daul informed on phone that all the formalities for taking Pankaj’s body to India have been completed and he will reach home with the body by Thursday afternoon.
Shalu said that all the accused in her brother’s murder have been caught by the Alkoj police and the police have also taken legal action against them. It has been learned that the number of accused named in Pankaj’s murder case is 7 to 8 and some of them have been sentenced to death and the rest have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Shalu said that her brother Gopi told her that he will come home and give the rest of the information. The family is still not aware of the reason behind Pankaj’s murder. Shalu said that they will bring the body of their brother Pankaj Doul home and give him a final farewell by completing all the rituals. The last rites have been scheduled at 4 pm which will be performed at Jamsher’s crematorium.
