May 29 (Punjab Khabarnama) : BJP has warned the state government regarding Union Minister Smriti Irani’s non-arrival at Mansa’s grain market and her helicopter not being able to land.
BJP accused the Punjab government and the district administration of deliberately not allowing Union Minister Smriti Irani’s helicopter to land so that she could not reach the meeting. BJP said that a large number of people had gathered to listen to Union Minister Smriti Irani in the meeting, seeing which the state government got nervous and did this mischief. In this regard, they will complain to the Election Commissioner and the Center.
It is worth noting that Union Minister Smriti Irani was to address a meeting in the grain market of Mansa city. Apart from common people, women had reached in large numbers to see and listen to Smriti Irani. She was to address at around 2 pm but she could not reach the meeting venue till 5 pm. It is being told that her helicopter was to land in the grain market located on Sirsa Road in the city. It is being told that the helicopter kept flying in the sky for about 35 minutes, but still they were not given the signal to land the helicopter, due to which the Union Minister had to go to Bathinda after some time.
Allegations are baseless, we had given permission: Deputy Commissioner
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Paramvir Singh said that he had taken permission to land the helicopter within half an hour, but why the helicopter of Union Minister Smriti Irani could not land there, only the pilot or the Union Minister knows. He said that Parampal Kaur deliberately refused to land the helicopter.
