May 29 (Punjab Khabarnama) : In the much talked about Ankit murder case, Kulwinder Kaur, wife of Balwinder Singh, resident of Mohalla Cheema Basti Sheikh Jalandhar, had filed a bail petition through her lawyer Navtej Singh Minhas, which has been accepted by the court of Additional Sessions Judge Jaswinder Singh.
It is noteworthy that on 15-4-24, Vishal alias Mani Jamba, son of Satpal, resident of Satran Mohalla Basti Sheikh Jalandhar, had lodged a report in Police Station Division Number 5 that his brother Ankit alias Jamba was going with his wife on an Activa scooter to get medicine from home, when on the way he reached in front of the house of Karna Malli, resident of Chai Aam Mohalla, Daljeet alias Sonu, Monu, Tarun, Ajay Kumar alias Baba, Amit Kumar, Karna Malli and his wife were already present there, who abused him and attacked him with axes, injured him badly and fled. When Ankit alias Jamba was taken to the hospital, he died due to the injuries he could not bear. Police had registered a murder case under sections 302,341,324,506,148,149.
