May 29 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A big incident took place in Bathinda when the husband brutally killed his wife by chopping her with an axe. According to the information, a husband brutally killed his wife by chopping her with an axe this morning in Gopal Nagar. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and kept the body in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital.
The neighbors told that a person used to come to their house, whom the husband used to stop and that is why he committed this incident. The sister of the deceased Gagandeep Kaur told that both the husband and wife used to fight with each other every day and the husband alleged that his wife used to call the person home.
The neighbors told that some time ago a person had come to their house, after which the discord in the house increased and the husband committed this incident. At present, SHO of Police Station Canal Praveen Kumar said that at present the matter is being investigated and further action will be taken on the basis of the statement of the family members.
