May 28 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A minor girl living near Ravidas Gurudwara in Mundian village falling under Jamalpur committed suicide by hanging herself under suspicious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Ritu (14 years). Ritu had passed 5th class and had to take admission in 6th class.
The girl lived with her aunt. At the time of the incident the aunt had gone to work and was alone at home. On receiving information about suicide, Constable Gurvinder of Mundian post reached the spot, took possession of the body and started investigation. Havildar Gurvinder said that the matter is still being investigated. Why the girl hanged herself is being investigated. The police have taken possession of the body and started further action.
