May 27 (Punjab Khabarnama) : There was a stir in Mohalla Gobindgarh when the accused named in the attempt to murder case, after getting bail, reached outside his in-laws’ house with a pistol. It was fortunate that the house was locked from inside, due to which a major accident was avoided. The accused came along with one of his associates and had a weapon. When nearby people gathered, the information reached the police but when the police arrived, the accused fled in their car.
Local people told that a resident of Arjun Nagar had filed an application for divorce from his wife, resident of Mohalla Gobindgarh. Then he was in jail and his wife had to seek divorce due to his criminal activities. The person believed that his brother-in-law, who is a railway employee, was behind all this. When the accused came out on bail, he reached his in-laws house with his friend. Due to it being locked, he could not enter inside and started threatening to kill everyone outside. Both of them also had pistols. Hearing the noise, the neighbors informed the control room and as soon as the hooter of the police car sounded, the accused managed to escape in their car in front of the police. However, the police had noted down the number of the vehicle. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera and late in the night the police was busy investigating the matter.
