Giving information about this, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Ashika Jain said that before giving advertisements in the newspapers published on May 31 and June 1, the political parties and candidates participating in the election process should get their advertisements checked by the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee. Can be printed only after approval.
The District Election Officer has appealed to the media workers/media houses working in the district to cooperate in fully following the above instructions of the Election Commission. Similarly, the supporters who came for election campaign from outside the concerned constituency during the last 48 hours will also have to return. He said that all such outsiders should go out of the area, hence the police department has also been instructed to keep full vigil on the places where outsiders are likely to stay.
