May 27 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A person who had come to install a shed in a company named Patiala Packers located at Derabassi Focal Point died after the lift rope broke and fell. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Devinder Singh, resident of Sant Atar Singh Colony, Alipur Road, Patiala. Who himself used to do contractor work. The deceased left behind his wife, a son and a daughter. The police have informed the family of the deceased and action will be initiated only upon their arrival and have sent the body to the mortuary of Derabassi Government Hospital.
ASI Lakhwinder Singh told that tape rolls are made in Focal Point’s E61D-50 Patiala packers. Where Davinder Singh had taken the contract to put up a shed on the third floor. He was coming down from the lift in the factory when suddenly the rope of the lift broke. Due to which the lift fell to the ground. Davinder Singh, who was riding in the lift, suffered serious injuries. The factory managers took him to a private hospital in Zirakpur for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead. On receiving the information, the police sent the body to the mortuary of Derabassi Civil Hospital and informed the family. After whose statements further action will be taken.
