May 24 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Today P.A.P. PM is going to be held inside. Due to Modi’s rally, the administration has completed preparations regarding traffic arrangements. PAP from 2 pm on Friday. All types of traffic will not be allowed to move completely through the Chowk. The routes from the city towards Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh have been diverted by the police administration during the rally.
On May 24, as P.A.P. Crowds of people coming to the campus will keep gathering and the routine traffic will get diverted. It is estimated that from 2 pm P.A.P. All traffic going towards other cities through the Chowk will be stopped. People going to Amritsar from the city will either have to take the old route via Vidhipur Gate and Maqsudan Bypass or can go to Amritsar Highway via Lamma Pind Chowk via Kishanpura Chowk. Similarly, people going to Ludhiana will have to take 66 Foot Road or Phagwara Highway from McDonald’s inside Cantt and entry can also be done through this route. To reach Chandigarh, one can go from Subhanpur to Kala Sighinya, Nakodar and then from Phagwara to Chandigarh Road. Entry into Jalandhar can also be taken from these points.
On the other hand, the police arrested P.A.P. Sign boards have been put up for the people coming to the PAP so that they can be guided from the parking lot to the PAP. There should be no problem in reaching the ground. Apart from this, the police had placed barricades on Thursday itself at the points from where diversion was to be given so that diversion could be given at any time. ADCP Traffic Amandeep Kaur appeals to the people to use only divert routes on May 24 so that no one has to face any problem.
