May 23 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Vigilance action has been seen against a major builder. It is being told that contractor Deepak Singal, who is considered very close to the politicians, has been arrested by Vigilance. This arrest has been made in connection with the scam in the construction of the Jang-e-Azadi Martyrdom Memorial in Jalandhar. Let us tell you that today Vigilance took major action in Jalandhar and filed FIR against 26 people related to this matter. It has been registered, out of which 16 people have been arrested by Vigilance, the name of Deepak Singal is also included in it.
Deepak Singal, owner of Ludhiana’s Deepak Builder, has been very close to the IAS, IPS lobby as well as politicians. During the tenure of Akali BJP, Deepak Singla was close to the then Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and during the tenure of Congress, he was close to the then Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh and Local Body Minister Brahm Mahindra. Not only this, he also had to sit and stand among the senior IAS and IPS lobby officers of Punjab, but despite all this, his arrest by Vigilance has surprised everyone.
